Greenhouse Gas Risk Management

ELP’s Greenhouse Gas Management Team can assist clients in managing the risks and benefiting from the opportunities created by Australia’s move to a low carbon economy.  There is a rapidly changing regulatory environment, with the introduction of the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting (NGER) Act and the Australian Emissions Trading Scheme (AETS)

Services include:

• Advising on the future of the carbon economy under the AETS, including   possible design and implementation features of the AETS.
• Strategic advice on GHG emissions from alternative projects, acquisitions or investments
• Measuring and reporting greenhouse gas emissions, energy produced and energy consumed under the NGER Act
• Measuring greenhouse gas emissions, whether voluntary or under existing federal or state programmes
• Setting up systems of internal control to measure GHG emissions, including resourcing requirements
• Advising on GHG abatement projects
• Auditing of GHG emissions
